Current Events are starting in Room 135!
The purpose of current event assignments is to learn about interesting things happening in our town, state, country, and world! It is also a great way to practice public speaking skills! Current event assignments will take place once a week. Each student will be assigned to share with the class their current event and what they learned. Have your child ready to share on the date below. Here is a schedule for the year.
September 10th – Joshua and Luke September 17th – Ashley and India September 24th- Rafael and Bre
October 1st – Joevon and Fernanda October 8th – Pierce and Edrei October 15th – Antonio and Sarah
October 22nd – Jordan, Daisy, and Taylor November 5th – Kalonice and Connor Novr 12th – Desirhiya and Carlos
November 19th – Christian, Dylan, and Kobe December 3rd – Giovanni and Zoey

Weekly assignment: After reading/watching/listening to the news, discuss with your child this current event. You can make a small poster or write a paragraph with a drawing. Be prepared to present in front of the class. Your work will be displayed on our current event board in the classroom.
